Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Tuesday and today felt like a tiny weekend.
I worked my landscaping job, and stayed later than we had agreed on to finish the pile of trees that I have been working on since late december. done. bam. that felt good.
then went out to romp in the woods with drake and edgar and diesel the dog. and by ‘romp in the woods’ i mean look at a property that might be the future home of our queer-as-fuck fam farm. there are a bunch of legal hurdles that we might have to jump if we want to go with that place (illegal building on the property, 4 acres, all trees that we’d have to clear a bit of to start farming, one house has to be demolished, blah blah blah), but it was good none-the-less. we’re all on the same page now, which feels really good.
then a super long friend-date with drake that involved a lot of dog snuggling and listening to woodspider over and over! then hanging out withSalient Branch. I still really miss living with him :(. had a lovely phone conversation with a partner in oakland though :)
then on to play music with mirisa in preparation from a show on friday that got cancelled. was momentarily bummed, but it ended up being a chance to add a bunch of songs to our potential set-lists.
and today was filled with meetings. one of which paid well. i hate money. i hate the concept of an entity with which you can put off bartering someone something with. it seems like shifty cheating. but really, any funds that put me closer to enough financially stability to open the community center and fam farm, the better…
just got home and found out that my landscaping boss isn’t going to be working till monday… project time just opened up a whole bunch :)
also. once crunch-time sets in for the fam farm… this blog might end up being a repository for all of the homesteading projects that we do… would anyone still follow me then?
